Early research reference for gene regulation, cell maintenance and replacement mechanisms, connected to primary studies.
Imported records are user-supplied and unverified. They are badged and were not checked against primary sources.
Cell and gene mechanism references
This workspace maps early research on gene regulation, telomeres, stem cells, cell maintenance and cell renewal. Every record carries its evidence level, species, measured outcome, limitations and risks. Where evidence stops, the atlas says so.
Early research reference atlas supporting the Oddsprig BioResearch virtual labs. No clinical or lifespan result is claimed.
Cell identity, energy and quality control — the unit every longevity claim must ultimately explain.

Gene atlas
Gene records distinguish genotype from expression, and association from causal therapeutic evidence. Gene symbols use HGNC nomenclature.
Therapy explorer
Therapies and trials. Approval for a disease is not approval for aging. Tissue effects are not whole-body rejuvenation.
Cell renewal
A framework page: the questions any cell-renewal claim must answer. Related records from the dataset appear below; the framework itself asserts no treatment effect.
Quality-controlled cell & tissue replacement
Can replacement cells be made, checked for mutations and identity, delivered to the right place, and integrated without uncontrolled growth? Key unknowns include durable engraftment, rejection, and whether replacing one tissue changes whole-body aging.
Immune surveillance
Renewal must not outrun surveillance. Clearing damaged or senescent cells, and spotting pre-cancerous clones, depends on an immune system that itself ages. Suppressing immunity to accept grafts trades one risk for another.
Mitochondria & extracellular matrix
A replacement program must evaluate the new cells’ mitochondrial quality, the recipient tissue’s supporting matrix, local signals and vascular supply. These are separate research requirements for reliable integration and function.
Cell identity
A renewed cell must remain the right cell type, in the right state, for decades. Partial reprogramming research raises the central tension: resetting age marks without erasing identity — or creating teratoma risk — is unresolved in humans.
