Tools today, workflows in development

Barcodes, labels and workflows

Start with a barcode, QR code, label image or photo scan. We’re building the steps that turn those tools into a repeatable business workflow.

The tools below are on oddsprig.com. Saved projects, larger batches, team accounts and system connections are in development.

The tools and what comes next

Tools available · Next steps in development

Barcode and QR generation

Today: make product or internal codes, links and text as code images.

Next: map spreadsheet columns, keep item codes intact, check quantities and row errors, and prepare checked batches.

Hub available · Next steps in development

Label design and printing

Today: the label hub brings together tools for barcode and QR label images.

Next: reusable sheet and roll layouts, label text, printer adjustments and print files sized to the chosen stock. Compatibility needs checks with actual printers and readers.

Barcodes in Excel and Word

Starting point: code images from the existing generator.

Next: checked instructions for taking a spreadsheet into labels and placing code images in documents, then reusable Office connections where needed. An Oddsprig Excel or Word add-in is not available yet.

Photo tool available · Next steps in development

Scanning into a spreadsheet

Today: read a code from a photo.

Next: phone camera scanning, a table of codes, quantities and notes, spreadsheet export and a path into labels or an agreed business system. These connections are in development.

The first label workflows

In development. These are the first features we’re preparing for businesses that repeat the same label work.

In development

Saved projects

Reopen the same column mappings, layout and printer adjustments for the next job. Project saving and recovery still need to be built and checked.

In development

Larger batches

Prepare more labels with progress, cancellation and visible row errors. Batch sizes will follow measured limits and export checks.

In development

Team accounts

Share approved projects and layouts with colleagues. Sign-in, permissions, separate business data and recovery must be checked before this opens.

In development

Automation and developer access

After the label workflow is proven, connect a repeated import, label job or scan result to a stock or order system. Each connection will need agreed inputs, error handling and a way to stop or retry a run.

Later, there will be a way for other software to request codes or labels. A software kit may make those connections easier to build. These connections and the software kit are not available yet; both need documentation, access controls and usage checks.

Need a workflow built for your company?

Custom tools and system connections will follow the shared label workflows. We’ll agree the result, review an example and hand over the files and instructions by email.
